Solihull Moors Walking Football Celebrate Outstanding Season at Presentation Evening
Players, managers, committee members and guests came together on Thursday 11th June 2026 to celebrate another remarkable season at the Solihull Moors Walking Football Club Annual Presentation Evening.
Following one of the most successful seasons in the club’s history, the event provided the perfect opportunity to reflect on the achievements of every squad and recognise the individuals who have contributed to the club’s continued growth and success.
Across all age groups, Solihull Moors enjoyed an exceptional campaign, with every team either winning league and cup honours or finishing as close runners-up. The achievements across the Over 50s, Over 55s, Over 60s, Over 65s and Worcester League squads demonstrated the strength, commitment and togetherness that runs throughout the club.
The evening began with a welcome from Bill Stokes, who gave a short introduction highlighting the club’s successes over the past season. Bill reflected on the progress made both on and off the pitch and thanked everyone who had contributed to another fantastic year for Solihull Moors Walking Football Club.
The focus then turned to the wider community as representatives from Solihull Moors Foundation took to the stage. Joe, “H” Hiten Pankhania and Scott Langford delivered an engaging presentation explaining the important work carried out by the Foundation throughout the local area.
They spoke passionately about the positive impact the Foundation has within the community and highlighted the close relationship between the Foundation and the Walking Football Club. The trio also explained how important the walking football players are to many of the Foundation’s projects, demonstrating how the partnership continues to benefit people of all ages across Solihull and beyond.
The evening then moved on to the eagerly anticipated awards presentations. A total of 15 trophies were awarded throughout the night, recognising outstanding performances, dedication and commitment across all squads.
Each age group presented both a Players’ Player of the Year and Manager’s Player of the Year award, ensuring that players who had impressed both their teammates and managers received the recognition they deserved.
One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of the Clubman of the Year Award. This special honour was awarded to Tim Tyler in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the club. Tim was instrumental in establishing and organising the new Worcester League squad while continually volunteering his time to help wherever needed throughout the season. His dedication, leadership and commitment made him a thoroughly deserving recipient of the award.
Adding to the occasion was the presence of local football legend Dele Adebola, who kindly attended the event to present the trophies. Dele spent time with players and guests throughout the evening, helping make the event even more memorable for everyone involved.
The celebrations continued with a successful raffle, which raised valuable funds for both Solihull Moors Foundation and Solihull Moors Walking Football Club. The generosity shown by everyone attending reflected the strong community spirit that exists throughout the club.
The evening was a fitting way to conclude an outstanding season. With excellent attendance, plenty of smiles and well-deserved recognition for players and volunteers alike, the event highlighted everything that makes Solihull Moors Walking Football Club such a special organisation.
As one season closes, attention now turns to the next. With strong foundations in place and continued growth across all squads, everyone at Solihull Moors Walking Football Club is already looking forward to another exciting campaign ahead.
