Joining Solihull Moors Walking Football Club is a great opportunity for anyone aged 40 and over who wants to stay active, improve fitness and enjoy football in a friendly, supportive environment. Whether you’re returning to the sport after a long break, recovering from injury or simply looking for a new way to socialise and stay healthy, walking football offers the perfect balance of competition and enjoyment.

Our club welcomes players of all abilities and backgrounds. Many members join with limited recent experience, while others come from years of playing traditional football. Walking football focuses on controlled movement, teamwork and skill, making it suitable for players who want to enjoy the game without the physical strain of running or heavy contact.

We have teams across several age groups and leagues, giving players the chance to train, develop and compete at a level that suits them. Our managers and committee work hard to create an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels valued and encouraged, whether they are playing socially or aiming to represent the club in league fixtures.

Female & Community Walking Football – Players Wanted

Solihull Moors Walking Football Club is excited to launch a brand-new Unisex Community Walking Football Initiative, starting 1st March 2026. We are looking for men, women and community players aged 40 and over who want to enjoy football in a supportive, relaxed and friendly environment. This initiative is perfect for anyone who wants to play the game at a slower pace, away from the competitiveness of league walking football.

Walking football is ideal for people recovering from injury, those returning to exercise, or anyone simply looking to stay active while enjoying the social side of sport. There is no running and no heavy physical contact, making it a safe and inclusive way to improve fitness, build confidence and meet new people.

These sessions are designed to be welcoming for complete beginners as well as former players who want to get back into football without the intensity of the full game. The focus is on fun, gentle exercise, making new friends and feeling part of a community.
