A Remarkable Season for Solihull Moors Walking Football Club
The 2025/26 season will undoubtedly go down as one of the most successful in the history of Solihull Moors Walking Football Club, with every squad across the club producing outstanding performances in both the Birmingham County Walking Football League (BCWFL) and Worcester League competitions.
Across all age groups, Solihull Moors teams demonstrated consistency, determination, teamwork and quality throughout the campaign, earning league titles, cup finals and runners-up positions in what has been a truly memorable year for the club.
Leading the way were the Solihull Moors Strollers, who secured the BCWFL Over 50s Premier League title after a fantastic season competing against some of the strongest walking football sides in the region. Their success did not stop there, as they also reached the Premier League Cup Final, finishing as runners-up after another impressive cup run.
Meanwhile, the Moors Walkers enjoyed a brilliant season of their own in the Over 50s Division One, winning the league title and narrowly missing out on a cup double after finishing runners-up in the Division One League Cup Final. The squad showed incredible consistency throughout the campaign, producing performances full of energy, discipline and togetherness.
The Solihull Moors Over 55s side also added silverware to the club’s growing collection, winning their league title after a tremendous season. Week after week, the team demonstrated quality football, resilience and an outstanding team spirit that proved too strong for many of their opponents.
The Over 60s team also enjoyed an excellent season, pushing hard throughout the campaign and ultimately finishing as very close runners-up in the league. Their performances throughout the year reflected the strength and depth now present across all Solihull Moors walking football squads.
Perhaps the standout achievement once again came from the remarkable Over 65s side. The team completed another historic league and cup double, making it three consecutive seasons achieving the feat. Such sustained success is rarely seen at any level of football and reflects the dedication, quality and togetherness within the squad. The Over 65s continue to set standards that many clubs can only admire.
Success was not limited to the BCWFL either. In the Worcester League, Tim Tyler played a major role both on and off the pitch, managing and playing for the side while helping guide Solihull Moors to a runners-up finish. Through hard work, organisation and commitment, Tim helped create a highly competitive squad capable of challenging throughout the season.
The achievements across all squads highlight the incredible progress Solihull Moors Walking Football Club has made in recent years. Behind every success story are not only talented players, but also dedicated committee members, volunteers and managers who continue to work tirelessly for the benefit of the club.
Walking football is about far more than trophies and league tables. It is about friendship, community, fitness and enjoyment. However, the success achieved this season is a reflection of the commitment, passion and professionalism shown by everyone connected with Solihull Moors Walking Football Club.
Everyone associated with the club should feel immensely proud of what has been accomplished during a truly remarkable season.
