SOLIHULL MOORS 2 Vs WESTON-SUPER-MARE WALKING FC 2

BIRMINGHAM LEAGUE PREMIER | 15.02.2026

Solihull Moors were crowned Premier Walking Football Birmingham League champions after a dramatic 2–2 draw against a talented and well-organised Weston-super-Mare side.

Moors started brightly, moving the ball confidently and showing good composure in possession against strong opposition. The early exchanges were evenly contested, with Moors passing well and looking comfortable in their structure.

However, a five-minute spell before the break proved costly. Weston-super-Mare capitalised on quick transitions and punished Moors with two sharp goals, turning a tight contest into a 2–0 deficit at half time.

The second half saw Moors push forward with determination. They dominated possession and increased the pressure, but Weston’s defensive shape made it difficult to break through. Time appeared to be running out — but the Moors refused to accept defeat.

With just three minutes remaining, Matthew Warren — better known as Wazza — produced a remarkable late surge, scoring twice in quick succession to level the match at 2–2.

The phrase “keep going until the final whistle” has never rung more true.

With Coleshill drawing their match elsewhere, the result was enough to secure the Premier title for Solihull Moors — a testament to consistency, belief and resilience across the season.

Champions.
