SOLIHULL MOORS 7 Vs BOLDMERE ST. MICHAEL WFC 0
BIRMINGHAM LEAGUE OVER 65s | 04.03.2026
Solihull Moors delivered a statement performance in the penultimate game of the BCWFL Over 65s Premier Division season, defeating Boldmere St. Michaels 7–0 on a day that also saw the launch of the club’s brand-new kit.
The Moors produced a display worthy of champions as they continue their push for what could be a remarkable third consecutive league title. Brendan Mulcahy led the scoring with a superb hat-trick, while Mark Jones added two goals and Graham Liddiard also struck twice to complete an impressive attacking performance.
Despite the convincing scoreline, the game could easily have produced even more goals. Mark Jones struck the woodwork three times, while Mulcahy, Liddiard and Mick O’Dwyer each also rattled the posts during a relentless attacking display. The Boldmere goalkeeper produced a string of outstanding saves throughout the match, preventing the scoreline from becoming even more emphatic.
At the other end, Solihull Moors remained solid and organised. A special thanks goes to Martin Sharkey, who stepped in for Bob Parry in goal and delivered another assured performance, keeping a well-earned clean sheet.
With another dominant display behind them, Moors now turn their focus to the next challenge in what has been a truly memorable season. The final step in this remarkable journey will be the cup competition, where the team will attempt to secure the double for a third season in a row.
