SOLIHULL MOORS 5 Vs OLD CORINTHIANS WALKING FOOTBALL 2

WFA STAFFS OVER 60s TOURNAMENT - GAME 1 | 27.01.2026

Solihull Moors made a superb start to the WFA Staffordshire Over 60s Tournament with an impressive 5–2 victory over Old Corinthians Walking Football Club.

From the opening whistle, Moors set the tempo with an attacking, high-pitch structure that immediately put Old Corinthians under pressure. Playing on the front foot, Moors controlled possession well and created chances through quick passing and intelligent movement.

Brendan Mulcahy was in outstanding form, leading the line brilliantly and helping himself to a well-taken hat-trick. His movement and composure in front of goal proved decisive as Moors built a commanding advantage. Graham Liddiard also found the net twice, capping off a strong attacking display and rewarding the team’s positive approach.

Defensively, Moors worked hard as a unit, limiting Old Corinthians’ opportunities and showing great organisation when required. The result reflected not just the quality in front of goal but the overall team performance across the pitch.

It was an excellent way to open the tournament and set the tone for the matches to come, with confidence high and momentum firmly on Moors’ side.
