SOLIHULL MOORS 5 Vs HINDLIP WALKING FC 1

WORCESTER LEAGUE | 18.01.2026

Solihull Moors produced one of their best performances of the season with an impressive 5–1 victory over a very strong Hindlip Walking Football Club in the Worcester League.

Going into the match, Hindlip were known as one of the league’s most dangerous attacking sides, but Moors delivered a disciplined, energetic and well-organised display. Ian James and Tim Tyler played a huge part in keeping Hindlip to just the one goal, dealing calmly with everything that came their way and giving the team a solid platform to build from.

The midfield trio of Mark Finney, Dale Shaw and Kev Attwood were outstanding throughout. Their constant movement, work rate and clever passing kept Hindlip on the back foot and ensured Moors controlled long periods of the match. A special mention must go to Dale Shaw, who stepped in at the last minute and produced a tireless performance that summed up the team spirit within the squad.

Up front, Simon James led the line brilliantly, keeping the Hindlip defence busy and dropping into midfield whenever required. New debutant Eric Marshall made an immediate impact, coming on to score and mark a memorable first appearance for the club.

The star of the day was Mark Finney, who grabbed a superb hat-trick with a series of clinical finishes. Simon James added another, with Eric Marshall completing the scoring to seal a tremendous 5–1 win.

Overall, it was a fantastic all-round team performance against a very strong opponent, and a result that will give Solihull Moors huge confidence going into the next round of Worcester League fixtures.
