SOLIHULL MOORS 4 Vs DROITWICH VETS 1
WORCESTER LEAGUE | 04.01.2026
Solihull Moors Walking Football continued their excellent form with an impressive 4–1 victory over Droitwich Vets in the Worcester League.
From the opening whistle, Moors looked confident and organised, moving the ball well and showing great composure in possession. The team controlled long periods of the game, pressing effectively and creating a number of quality chances through patient build-up play and intelligent movement.
Goals from Mark Finney, Simon James, Kevin Attwood and Tim Tyler reflected the attacking threat and teamwork on display, with all four finishes coming from well-worked moves. Defensively, Moors remained disciplined and compact, limiting Droitwich’s opportunities and dealing calmly with any pressure that came their way.
It was a strong all-round team performance, with every player contributing both on and off the ball. Communication, work rate and positional awareness were evident throughout the squad, helping maintain control and tempo for the full match.
The result extends Solihull Moors’ unbeaten run across the 2025 and 2026 seasons — a fantastic achievement that highlights the consistency and commitment of the group.
A special mention goes to Martin Sibley, who attended to support and manage the team on the day. His presence and guidance from the sidelines were greatly appreciated and helped contribute to another positive afternoon for the Moors.
