SOLIHULL MOORS WALKERS 4 Vs BEDWORTH UTD WFC 0

BIRMINGHAM LEAGUE DIVISION 1 | 02.11.2025

Walkers maintained their positive start to the season with a convincing win against a very capable Bedworth side. This was their fourth win in 4 games and leaves them top of the championship table.

Both teams started the game well with some good passing and possession in midfield, but SM gradually carved out some clear- cut chances. They were rewarded with a goal midway through the first half, when captain Surj Heer guided a well struck long range drive into the corner of the goal. 5 minutes later the game stood still as he had a similar chance, but this time his guided shot fell, just, the other side of the post.

Bedworth fought to contest the game throughout and despite some neat play and interchanges they struggled to carve out clear scoring chances. SM defended resolutely, they were well organised and worked hard as a team collective.

Shortly into the second half SM struck again- a well-crafted team exchange of passes found Richard Jackson who produced a rasping and rising shot that smashed into the roof of the net. Several minutes after SM did it again and a flowing team move culminated in Glenn Page smashing a fierce drive past the Bedworth keeper. Steve Cox provided the fourth goal of the contest, via a sharp turn and curled finish, after a smart through ball by Richard Jackson.
