SOLIHULL MOORS 3 Vs ALCESTER WALKING FOOTBALL 0

WFA STAFFS OVER 60s TOURNAMENT - GAME 2 | 27.01.2026

Solihull Moors continued their strong start to the WFA Staffordshire Over 60s Tournament with a convincing 3–0 victory over Alcester Walking Football.

Once again, Moors set the tone early by playing on the front foot and keeping a high pitch structure, pushing Alcester back and controlling large spells of possession. The positive approach paid off as Moors created a steady flow of chances through patient build-up play and intelligent movement.

Brendan Mulcahy opened the scoring with a composed finish, rewarding Moors’ early pressure. Brendan Maxwell then added a second to give Moors a comfortable advantage, before Graham Liddiard capped off the performance with a well-taken third goal.

Defensively, Moors were solid throughout, working as a unit to limit Alcester’s opportunities and keeping a deserved clean sheet. The balance between attacking intent and defensive discipline was key to another assured team display.

Two wins from two matches represented an excellent start to the tournament for Solihull Moors, with confidence growing as the competition progressed and the team continuing to show their attacking intent and organisation.
