Solihull Moors Over 55s edged out Tamworth Strollers Walking Football Club with a hard-fought 1–0 victory in the first round of the Over 55s Cup.

In what proved to be a closely contested tie, both teams started brightly and showed plenty of organisation and discipline, making chances difficult to come by. Tamworth Strollers pressed well and remained competitive throughout, but Moors gradually grew into the game and began to control possession in key areas.

The breakthrough came courtesy of Brendan Maxwell, who finished confidently to give Solihull Moors the decisive goal of the match. His strike proved to be the difference in a game where margins were tight and defensive concentration was vital.
