SOLIHULL MOORS 0 Vs MSA (BURNTWOOD) 0

BIRMINGHAM LEAGUE OVER 65s | 10.12.2025

Solihull Moors endured a difficult afternoon as they struggled to find rhythm against a well-organised and energetic MSA Burntwood side. From the opening whistle, Moors looked slightly off the pace, unable to settle into their usual controlled passing game. MSA capitalised on this uncertainty, pressing with intent and forcing Solihull into mistakes across the pitch.

Despite Moors’ efforts to grow into the match, MSA consistently looked the stronger team on the day. Solihull found themselves second best in key areas — challenges were missed, transitions were slow, and passes rarely found their intended target. It was a performance below the high standards Moors have set for themselves this season.

One standout, however, was goalkeeper Bob Parry, who produced a superb display between the posts. Bob made four outstanding saves, each one preventing MSA from turning their dominance into goals. His sharp reactions, bravery and composure kept Solihull alive in a match that could easily have slipped further away. Without his performance, the scoreline would undoubtedly have looked much worse.

Although the result and overall performance were disappointing, there is no reason for panic. The league campaign is still far from over, with plenty of fixtures remaining and ample opportunity for Solihull Moors to regroup, reset and return to winning ways. Off days happen to every team, and this match will serve as a reminder of the levels required to compete consistently.

Moors will look to bounce back quickly, learn from this outing and show their true quality in the matches ahead.
